Ever wondered why Fur Oil has such an iconic shape?
In the early design stages, we took inspiration from vintage perfume ads like Yves Saint Laurent and Lanvin. We wanted Fur Oil to feel precious, an object that wouldn't look out of place on a vanity.
At first, everyone told us it was a bad idea, that the sphere shape would "diminish shelf presence." Market standards are rectangular bottles that look large but are not deep, therefore making the customer believe that there’s a lot more product than there actually is. But for us, the shape embodied the old school glamour we wanted Fur to represent. Applying Fur Oil means taking a moment out of your day to focus on yourself and how your skin feels, and luxuriating in the process.
