  • Head of Finance

    Location: New York Metro Area preferred

    Reports to: Chief Executive Officer 

    FLSA Status: Full Time/Exempt

    The Role: We are seeking our first Head of Finance to take our high growth business to the next level. In partnership with the CEO and Co-Founders, you will play a key role in establishing processes, implementing systems, and financial controls while also driving critical decisions that position Fur for long-term success. You will bring demonstrated financial leadership in high-end, sustainable consumer products. As a resourceful, flexible leader, you are comfortable moving between the day to day operations and longer-term strategy creation.  

    You will collaborate closely with Operations, People & Talent, and Brand & Innovation to build multi-year budgets, cash flow projections as well as align on a roadmap that ensures Fur’s long-term profitability and financial sustainability. As a “first in role”, you will evaluate our current infrastructure and build a high-performing finance team.     Responsibilities: 

    Lead the finance organization and manage all finance functions including FP&A planning, cash flow projects, and compliance; Engage in workforce planning to make recommendations for building a high performing finance team

    Oversee the creation and execution of a financial strategy roadmap that enables Fur to achieve its growth and sustainability goals

    Lead annual budgeting process; Establish KPIs, conduct financial performance analysis, and manage relationship with accounting firm; review and validate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes as well as tax compliance at a federal, state and local level

    Build data-driven financial strategy and leverage consumer insights to drive business decisions that positively impact cash position and clearly support company growth plans and initiatives

    Collaborate closely with Operations team to proactively manage the inventory investment cycle, including ROI on new product development; support with financial planning around logistics and inventory management 

    Create financial robust policies and procedures to ensure safe and sound business operations, safeguarding of assets (e.g. segregation of duties and internal accounting controls), expense controls, accurate recordkeeping, and proper disclosure of financial, operational and management information

    Identify any potential risks to the business and generate solutions; Manage the production of critical reports (e.g. inventory, flash sales reports)

    Qualifications: 

    7 - 10 years of financial leadership experience with increasing responsibility; experience in Investing Banking and/or Merger & Acquisitions, a plus 

    Demonstrated leadership with control responsibilities, budgets, forecasting, revenue  and cash flow management, and go to market strategy 

    Change management leadership experience, including establishing policies, building internal controls and implementing company-wide financial practices 

    Experience with CPG industry essential; understanding of an omni-channel brand; beauty and cosmetics experience, a plus 

    Experience with sales-tax; managing multi-state sales apportionment 

    Experience working with financial systems including NetSuite and Quickbooks; experience managing financial systems upgrades and implementations, a plus

  • Director, Trade Marketing (Fur Professionals)

    Location: New York Metro Area

    Reports to: SVP, Digital Marketing

    The Role: We’re seeking a growth minded, experienced Director, Trade Marketing to take our Fur Professionals business to the next level. In this role, you will manage a team of two focused on driving Professionals marketing to inform revenue strategy through digital marketing tactics as well as B2B marketing efforts to make Fur the brand of choice amongst estheticians nationwide. We are looking for a skilled marketer who understands how to foster meaningful, lasting connections with our current community of estheticians and grow memberships through effective, data-driven campaigns that span across all marketing channels and platforms. This position is an opportunity to create an action on a top down and bottom up marketing plan specific to our community of estheticians. The ideal candidate will be an expert in B2B marketing to waxing estheticians, salons and spas, digital marketing, and brick & mortar marketing strategies. This is an opportunity to lead a key marketing initiative directly linked to Fur’s long term strategic priorities. 

    Responsibilities: 

    In partnership with the Business Development, Digital Marketing and Creative Teams, develop compelling, data-driven marketing plans to ensure retention of current members of our Fur Professionals community and significantly grow the community year over year. 

    Drive education amongst the community of professionals and engage experts in leveraging their knowledge and expertise to deploy content across marketing channels to communicate Fur’s efficacy,  deepen product knowledge, and drive new business amongst estheticians around the country

    Expand Fur’s digital presence and brick and mortar footprint; execute campaigns and drive strategy that positions Fur to grow its market share amongst waxing, sugaring and other body hair and skincare professionals

    Drive and grow wholesale business channel through collaboration, leveraging data insights, and optimizing to support growth and expansion 

    Build and maintain referrals networks among wholesale partners to increase brand awareness and deepen market penetration; Establish referral incentive programs 

    Align closely with Business Development/Retail team to create a complementary strategy that enables Fur to expand its relationship with spas, waxing chains and estheticians around the country 

    Qualifications: 

    6+ years experience leading Wholesale in an omnichannel environment (brick and mortar and digital DTC); demonstrated experience working with beauty and/or cosmetics professionals in a high-growth environment 

    Experience setting and measuring marketing goals; ability to effectively manage budgets and track progress; knowledge of how to build and set KPIs and strategic marketing targets 

    4+ years of people management experience; experience working with a small team to drive results 

    Business training and experience, to lead and manage wholesale business channels; proven results orientation and sales management and P&L responsibility

    Licensed Esthetician highly preferred

  • Customer Experience Associate

    Location: New York Metro Area

    Reports to: Web Marketing Manager

    The Role: Fur seeks someone who is a natural problem-solver with a desire to create an exceptional customer experience for our community. This position would work closely with the Customer Experience team, but would be exposed to many aspects of the business. As a member of the Customer Experience team, you will be responsible for directly communicating with our customers, and providing insights to internal teams. This role is ideal for a highly organized, self-starter who is passionate about the Fur brand and our mission to de-stigmatize body hair. 

    Responsibilities:

    Deliver timely and on-brand customer communication across emails via the customer service platform Gorgias for Pros & Fur You Customers

    Monitor Instagram comments / Facebook DMs and monitor Fur Professionals' Facebook group  

    Review and approve Fur Professionals applications on a daily basis

    Assist our Fur Professionals customers with their account setup

    Review Fur Professional orders on a daily basis

    Liaise with our fulfillment team to coordinate returns, missing packages, and unfulfilled orders

    Assist with incoming product reviews on the Yotpo platform

    Compile data on customer service emails and identify trends

    Communicate customer feedback to appropriate team members & collaborate to remove any customer roadblocks

    Review and create macros as needed

    Provide assistance for upcoming product launches.

    Requirements:
