To start, choose between four lengths—you can trim without a guide on for the closest shave, or choose between short (1 mm), medium (2.5 mm), and long (5 mm) trimmer guide lengths. The Trimmer has a 3-blade system that can be moved in either direction as opposed to simply against the grain of your hair, making your hair removal routine that much easier. It can be used wet or dry, and can be safely used anywhere from head to toe, such as the face, pubic area, legs, armpits, and arms.
If you plan on shaving, wet your skin and apply a very thin layer of shave cream—we recommend our no-foam, extra hydrating Shave Cream for maximum precision and protection against razor burn. Use short, even strokes, and apply light pressure when shaving. The Fur Trimmer is not as close of a shave to the hair follicle as a traditional razor, so your skin stays protected and comfortable.
After trimming or shaving, follow up with our signature Fur Oil—it hydrates skin, minimizes razor burn and ingrowns, and softens prickly hair. For an added protection against razor burn, apply Stubble Cream onto fully bare skin to prevent prickly regrowth.
Can I use this in the shower?
Yes! The Trimmer is water-resistant and shower-friendly—just don’t fully submerge it underwater.
Can I use it with shave cream?
Yes! We recommend our own no-foam, velvety soft Shave Cream for a close shave, sans razor burn. Just make sure to remove and rinse the Trimmer head once you’re done!
Where can I use it?
Anywhere and everywhere! The Trimmer can be safely used from head to toe, such as the face, pubic area, legs, armpits, and arms.
